International Emmy Awards 2025: Shalini Passi, Diljit Dosanjh And Imtiaz Ali Arrive In Style

The 53rd International Emmy Awards were held in New York on Monday, November 24, 2025. This Emmy edition, like earlier versions, saw Indian nominations, including the film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’.

The film's actor and director, Diljit Dosanjh and Imtiaz Ali, arrived at the award show in their sartorial avatars. Diljit earned a nomination for Best Performance by an Actor, while the film competed in the TV Movie/Mini-Series category. While the film returned without any wins from this year's ceremony, Diljit's fashion was on point.

Diljit Dosanjh Arrives at the Red Carpet

At the 53rd International Emmys, Diljit solidified his status as a fashion maven as he arrived in a glittering white blazer and black trousers. He wore a crisp white shirt underneath, completed with a properly tied turban and bow tie. The look blended his Punjabi charm with international flair. While Diljit missed out on the Best Actor honour, which went to Oriol Pla, his fashion was impeccable.

The socialite made a stunning appearance in a glittering yet elegant gown, designed by Jenny Packham, that was one of the best looks of the night. The gown was created with embellishments and shimmering fabric, and featured a halter-neck design. It also featured a plunging neckline and a cinched waist, which enhanced her figure. A short train added an edge to the red-carpet glam.

What stood out was Shalini's choice of accessories; she carried a Judith Leiber silver frog clutch that perfectly complemented her ensemble. She completed the look with a pair of drop earrings and stacked bracelets that allowed the outfit to be the main attraction. For hair, she opted for a voluminous hairdo, which evoked old Hollywood glamour. She finished her look with subtle makeup that balanced the overall aesthetic beautifully.

Imtiaz Ali's Classic Look

Imtiaz Ali, the director of ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, delivered in style. He dressed up in an all-black tuxedo and stuck to his natural hairdo and clean-shaven look.

He might have lost to ‘Lost Boys and Fairies’, but for India, it was an emotional affair. India's strong presence at the award show reflects how far its global influence now reaches.
