Shefali Shah’s ‘Delhi Crime’ made history as the first Indian series to win a prestigious International Emmy Award for Best Drama. However, the third season of the acclaimed Netflix show has left fans divided, with many calling it the ‘weakest yet’. While the series continues to tackle pressing societal issues, Season 3 has sparked a flurry of mixed reactions online, especially on Twitter, where viewers have voiced their disappointment.

Delhi Crime Season 3 Twitter Review

While the performances remain stellar, particularly from Shah and Qureshi, Twitter has been rife with disappointment. Many feel that Season 3 fails to capture the gripping essence of its predecessors. Popular critic Sucharita tweeted, “Season 3 of Netflix’s Delhi Crime is by far its weakest one yet. A very unsatisfactory, middling watch. The second-screen viewing vibes are heavy with this one.”

Despite this, some have appreciated the series' raw portrayal of human trafficking and its dark, realistic tone. Neeti Roy shared her thoughts on Twitter, stating, “#DelhiCrimeSeason3OnNetflix is dark, raw and relevant. It’s not without flaws, but it’s powerful. Shefali Shah is exceptional as Vartika Chaturvedi, and the cast, including Huma Qureshi, is impressive.”

Other viewers, like Lakshman Sai Kumar, felt the season did not match the intensity of its predecessors. “Delhi Crime couldn’t repeat the magic. Season 3 felt worse than Season 2,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, Vikas Yadav noted that although the actors remained strong, “We really didn’t need a third season of #DelhiCrime; it feels disposable. But the actors continue to be terrific.”

Aditti Ahluwalia also shared her admiration for Huma Qureshi’s performance, “@humasqureshi … you beauty!!! What a stellar performance. Aisa scary vibe tha jaisa Sholay ke Gabbar Singh ka tha uss zamaane mein!!”

@SlumDogReviewer tweeted with excitement about Huma Qureshi’s portrayal in the series, “Not gonna lie, Huma in Delhi Crime 3 is lethal 🔥 2025 proved she can jump between genres like it’s nothing, and DC3 is the kind of world where she can genuinely go feral. Super ready to watch her own this era. 👀”

Delhi Crime Season 3 Story

In ‘Delhi Crime Season 3’, the team of Delhi Police led by the determined DIG Vartika Chaturvedi (played by Shefali Shah) embarks on a grim mission to tackle a human trafficking ring. The case takes Vartika and her team to various locations, from Silchar and Aizawl to Delhi and Panvel, as they investigate a gang luring young girls and selling them into exploitation. The plot draws inspiration from real-life cases, including the notorious Baby Falak case, which shook the nation in 2012.

As the investigation unfolds, viewers are introduced to new characters, including Badi Didi, played by Huma Qureshi, whose chilling presence and complex backstory elevate the stakes. The emotional core of the season revolves around the face-off between Shefali Shah’s Vartika and Huma Qureshi’s Badi Didi, two women whose differing principles form a tense psychological battle.

Despite mixed reactions, ‘Delhi Crime Season 3’ continues to captivate viewers with its compelling cast and hard-hitting storyline. The series tackles tough subjects, including child abuse and the underbelly of human trafficking, with brutal realism. Though it might not have the same impact as earlier seasons, it remains a thought-provoking watch, particularly for those invested in the emotional and moral dilemmas faced by the characters.
