With Diwali season being right around the corner, we have several things to do and get dusted with. Clothes are the first thing that comes to our mind as we think of any festivals, don’t we? You can always take your old suits and lehengas, add some twists and turns, and make a new outfit altogether.
Have old suits you think you can pull off with a twist? Here are some quirky, trendy ways you can take your old suit up a notch for the coming Diwali season!
With the worldwide pandemic, everybody was locked up in the house and picked up on major hobbies for their day to day lives. Many of us picked up on embroidery and knitting as a part-time hobby and career. Use the homemaker skill and implement it into your fashion.
Pick up an old, plain, white kurta and attach some embroidery or lace to the borders. It’ll add up a quirkiness to your outfit making it a great fit for Diwali.
Vibrant Colour Blocking
Colour blocking has been in the fashion trends for quite a while and we can’t find a reason not to implement it in your Diwali outfit.
Instead of going for the assigned salwar and chunni set, pick a vibrant shade and pair it with your outfit and side accessories.
Switch The Pants
With salwars and pajami being the traditional combination for a kurta, switch it up with a palazzo set or a pair of pants. It gives a modern look and a more versatile approach to fashion.
You can add buttons and different stitch techniques to the side bottom of your pants for a more versatile look.
Throw In A Belt Or Junk Jewellery
Throwing some junk or silver jewellery (DIY Paper Jewellery) or belts to your appearance of a traditional outfit will tone the outfit a step higher. Junk jewellery or silver jewellery is a good way to incorporate Indian community culture into your outfit. The jewellery is readily available in the market at the vendors.
Belts help put emphasis onto an outfit and also in shifting focus from one area to the other.
