Have a wedding to attend and plan on wearing a saree? Don't worry I have put together a few looks from the superattractive actress Vidya Balan's Instagram account where she has been posting many different looks in a varity of ethnic wear. These looks are perfect for a put together wedding guest appearance.
Red & Lively
You can never go wrong with a red saree at a wedding. It is all about how you accessorise the look. The saree is from Suta Bombay and has been paired with a blouse that has a mirror sequined round neck which looks like a neckpiece. The sprinkling of mirror and sequence here and there and the embroidered work on the blouse looks aesthetic and classy.
You can go for a sheer chiffon saree with golden mokaish work and pair it with an embroidered blouse that matches or even go contrast if all red is not your style. Go easy on the makeup as the attire is loud enough. Try some smokey eyes like Vidya or simple a well kohled eye look with shimmer on the lids, groomed eyebrows and a nude lip with some highlighter and strobing work on the face ould look perfect. You can keep your hairstyle simple or even go for a greek braided bun.
This one is my favourite in this list as I am a hardcore fan of kalamkari. This saree flaunted by Vidya is from the house of Itrh, called the Rang Birangi Kalamkari Saree. It is a handpainted number which has been highlighted with zardosi and dabka work. It also has the signature ITRH lampi triangles as explained on the website of the rand.
The matching blouse his made of gold lampi. Get a kalamkari saree on chiffon or any handprinted or bloack printed saree and pair it with a jazzy blouse. Let your saree do the talking and do your makeup accordingly.
This is a mix of a saree look with a dress kind of finish which Vidya Balan wore at the Filmfare Presscon. It is a number from the Ka-Sha. Here the actress is in a monotine which has been broken with a belt and with the colour infusion of the huge hasli look necklace based on silver with some golden touch along with a earrings that match the set.
Her makeup is all about the heavily kohled eyes and a nude lip. Her skin has been strobed which gives your skin a natural sheen. Here hair is up in a bun but you can also leave it open. Wear heels with the ensemble to add more glamour.
Heavy Bordered Silk
This lovely saree is a handmade wonder by the locals made in silk. The handloom product iis what most of our mothers have had and if you are married, I am sure you might be having one such saree with golden work on it, packed and forgotten. Bring it out ladies! Wear it to the upcoming wedding and do subtle makeup if you think you might go overboard! Sarees look good on everyone depending upon how you wear it.
