Use a sewing machine to stitch both sides. If you have a long kurta, cut a strip from the bottom and keep it aside to make a collar later on.

Place the kurta on the floor and use scissors to cut the kurta vertically from the centre, starting from the neckline to the bottom. Here, you’ll be stitching some buttons to give it a shirt-like feel.
