Women Building the Future: ‘Her Startup Show’ Celebrates India’s Women-led Innovations

From eco-innovation to cultural revival, women entrepreneurs pitch bold ideas on Her Startup Show for a shot at winning a ₹10 lakh grant.

From Charanya, who’s trying to revive Indian heritage through board games, to Jai Bharati, who’s building an all-women fleet of drivers, Her Startup Show features myriad female-run businesses from across the country. The women shine, with their grit, passion and vision. Some leave with guidance, and some with the coveted prize of an INR 10 lakh grant.

Episodes 5 and 6 of Her Startup Show featured a wide range of businesses. On the show, the participants are questioned about the distribution methods, margins, scalability and other business aspects. Those who impress the judges, get to win the grand prize.

GroupM and Brittania’s ‘Her Startup Show’ on JioHotstar spotlights women entrepreneurs with a vision. It is a platform dedicated solely to female entrepreneurs, and features women from all corners of country coming together to present their pitches, for their unique businesses, in a bid to secure a INR 10 lakh grant from the jury.

Innovative Businesses on the Show

Jai Bharathi, founder of MOWO (Moving Women), is revolutionizing women's mobility in India by training them to operate two- and three-wheelers, thereby enabling their independence and employment. The initiative has trained over 3,000 women and launched India's first women-only motor training centre in Hyderabad. Through MOWO Fleet, she is helping bridge the gender gap in mobility while offering people eco-friendly transport options.Inside-2 (21)

Charanya Kumar, founder of Chittam Games, is revitalising Indian heritage by creating engaging games rooted in Indian culture and mythology. They promote Indian culture through fun, interactive board and card games, that also promote bonding within the family. In today’s digital age, where screen-addictions are on the rise, games like these help make children sharper, while raising their awareness.

Textiles, Technology and More

Barsha Sharma, from Assam, on the other hand, is working towards solving a global problem – textile waste management. Her brand, Ezaar Collective, turns fabric waste into affordable, useful items, like bags and pouches. She also provides employment opportunities to women from slums and flood-affected areas.

Nithi Hilda, from Trichy, is using technology to improve lives of both farmers and their livestock. Her company, PGM Tech Innovation Pvt. Ltd, has come up with a product that monitors health and vitals of animals on the farm, to detect and treat any issues that arise.

There were many other businesses, all dedicated to solving gaps in the market, with innovative solutions. To know more about which entrepreneurs went on to win the coveted 10 lakh grant, watch the show, which is now streaming on JioHotstar.

GroupM Motion Entertainment and Mindshare, in collaboration with Britannia and digital partner HerZindagi, have unveiled Season 2 of 'Her Startup Show'—India’s first and only national reality series dedicated solely to women entrepreneurs. It is now streaming on JioHotstar.
