The ‘XXX Retirn Of Xander Cage’ actor, Vin Diesel has been sued by his former assistant for assaulting her back in the year 2010 when the former was shooting the ‘Fast Five’ movie. Diesel has outrightly denied all the claims that have been made in this case against him.
Vin Diesel’s Former Assistant Accuses Him Of Sexual Battery:
Diesel’s former assistant, Asta Jonasson has filed a lawsuit alleging that the action star battered her during the shoot of the movie, ‘Fast Five’. The lawsuit that was filed in a Los Angeles court said that she was fired hours after the assault happened.
The lawsuit is the latest that has been lodged in the California courts. According to latest claims, it mentions that the extended length of time in this alleged sexual crime case will see legal action.
Statements By Asta Jonassaon And Her Attorney In The Case, As Per The Lawsuit:
Jonasson’s lawyer, Claire-Lise Kutlay expressed in a written statement that, "Sexual harassment in the workplace will never stop if powerful men are protected from accountability. We hope her courageous decision to come forward helps create lasting change and empowers other survivors."
The aggrieved, Asta Jonasson mentioned that her first assignment after being hired by the ‘Fast and Furious’ star’s company was to travel to Atlanta in September 2010 during the filming of the movie, ‘Fast Five’.
In the lawsuit, Jonasson alleged that Vin Diesel forcibly groped her and then kissed her after a night where he entertained multiple women in his hotel room.
The lawsuit mentions, "Vin Diesel ignored Ms. Jonasson's clear statements of non-consent to his sexual assaults.”

A few hours later, the actor’s sister and president of One Race, Samantha Vincent, the entertainment company that had employed Jonasson, allegedly called and fired her.
The suit further mentioned, "The message was clear. Ms Jonasson was fired for courageously resisting Vin Diesel's sexual assault, Vin Diesel would be protected, and his sexual assault covered up."

Jonasson is one of the many women in the entertainment industry who have faced sexual misconduct since the #MeToo movement began back in the year 2017, which happened in the aftermath of accusations against the now imprisoned Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
