Vina was a choreographer at a TV show which went off-air in 2020 when Covid-19 hit. She was confused about what to do next. Everything came to a halt, and that is when she started making parodies. When her first video went viral, it gave her the courage to go out and explore more.

She loves Bollywood songs, music and dialogue. She is a huge fan of Indian culture and food. If given a chance, Vina would love an opportunity to work with Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar.

Her favourite Hindi film dialogue is from Khan’s Don - “Don ko pakadna mushkil he nahin, namumkin hai.”

Takes Only A Week To Prepare

If you have watched parodies of Vina and her dance group, you would notice that they are phenomenal at what they do. From copying steps to the beat to similar costumes, their work would leave you amazed.

To cater to a huge fan base of the Hindi film industry in Indonesia, Vina directs her group, choreographs everything, searches for a location, designs costumes and edits her videos. She does not have a team like a Bollywood set with the assigned task, yet she manages to replicate the magic.

It only takes Vina and her group about a week to create a parody. For example, while shooting for Jhoome Jo Pathaan, the group worked at two locations, and the professional dancers quickly picked up on what they had to do.

It takes her about only a week to get the matching costumes and another two to three days to get done with the shoot. Based on the number of requests she receives on her videos, Vina decides which song or scene from a Bollywood movie she would be creating next.

If you have watched the parodies, you would have seen the dancers and actors mimicking every scene and emotion to perfection. You would be amazed to know that it takes her group a day only to do it. In most cases, they do it on the spot or work a few minutes before action starts on camera.

Vina has a friend who sells costumes inspired by Bollywood films in Indonesia. For jewellery, she finds artificial ones a little easier, other times, she customises them.

The YouTuber went to India in 2017 for a holiday and explored Mumbai and surrounding places for a few days. The content creator wishes to come back to India and create parodies here.

We really hope she gets to meet and collaborate with her favourite, Shah Rukh Khan. Stay tuned to HerZindagi for more updates.
