You might remember her face from a few other of her projects. She has worked in other Hindi films and daily soaps. However, you might not know that Hegde shares a close bond with actor and film producer Aamir Khan.

Nikhat Hegde is Aamir Khan’s sister. The actors also have a brother, Faisal, and another sister, Farhat. In Pathaan, Nikhat was seen playing the role of an Afghan woman who bestows Pathaan with a name after he saved their village. Around the climax of the film, she also appeared as a part of Khan’s on-screen family.
Who Is Nikhat Hegde?

Nikhat Hegde is an Indian actor, lyricist, costume designer and film producer. She is the elder sister of Aamir Khan and lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra. In 1977 and 1988, she designed costumes for Hum Kisise Kum Nahin and Qayamat Se Qayatmat Tak, respectively.
In 1990, she produced Tum Mere Ho. In 2013, she was a lyricist for Besharam. Hegde has worked as an actor in Mission Mangal (2019), Saand Ki Aankh (2019), Tanhaji (2020) and Pathaan (2023).
In 2022, the actor made her TV debut with Banni Chow Home Delivery.

Released on January 25, Pathaan was declared a ‘blockbuster’ by the audience as well as critics. It sold more than four lakhs tickets before the release, and its day one earnings were expected to cross ₹45 crores.
The film crossed ₹51 crores on day one to become the highest-grossing film in India. You will be surprised to know that the Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone-starrer earned ₹100 crores worldwide on its first day and surpassed War and Ek Tha Tiger.
Since the film was released on Wednesday, it became the highest-grossing non-holiday-released Hindi film. With Pathaan’s soaring success, the audience celebrated Khan’s return to the silver screen with much enthusiasm.

The year 2022 saw many flops and many boycotts for the Hindi film industry. People started comparing Bollywood with regional cinema and thought the industry was dying with its anticipated scripts and remixes.
However, Pathaan turned the table, and Twitter users agreed that if anyone could do it, it was only Shah Rukh Khan. Apart from Khan, people are in awe of performances delivered by John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana.
