The actor also clarified that he had been separated from his ex-wife, Avantika Malik, since February 2019, well before his bond with Lekha deepened during the lockdown.

According to Imran, his connection with Lekha grew stronger during the pandemic, nearly a year after her separation from her partner. "Lekha and I grew close during the lockdown, a year and a half after I had been separated from Avantika and almost a year after she had separated from her partner," he revealed.
