How Anshula Kapoor Recreated Late Mother Mona Shourie's Wedding Perfume For Her Big Day

A wedding ceremony is always a wonderful start in the life of any bride. However, sometimes it is marked by silent sadness when the dear parent is not present to share it. For digital creator and entrepreneur Anshula Kapoor, who was getting ready to celebrate the wedding ceremony, it became important to make sure that the memory of her late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, would not fade away. In order to pay tribute to the memory of her beloved mother, Anshula came up with an unusual way: a tribute in the form of scent.

Anshula Kapoor's Emotional Wedding Tribute

Marriage is definitely a beautiful event; however, at times it may be accompanied by a certain feeling of sadness due to the absence of one’s parent who could have taken part in that ceremony. Digital creator and entrepreneur Anshula Kapoor paid her tribute to her mother, who passed away and was very important to her during that period of her life. Anshula made a very unusual gift to herself by creating a very unique way to celebrate her late mother and remember her forever. Instead of presenting herself with classic family heirlooms, she recreated the very perfume her mother used to wear when getting married a few decades before.

How She Recreated Mona Shourie's Wedding Perfume

It took great effort for Anshula to recreate that unique scent. The perfume had long been discontinued by its worldwide luxury brand, thus rendering it unavailable for purchase from stores. Undeterred, Anshula embarked on an intricate months-long process of working with experts in perfumes and fragrances to recreate the smell profile. By breaking down the components of the original perfume, they managed to recreate the perfect blend of the floral elements and the base notes. When the perfume samples were finally delivered, the results were instant, with Anshula saying that the recreated fragrance brought her straight back into her mother’s arms.

The Special Meaning Behind The Fragrance

Anshula managed to create something special by resurrecting an aroma associated so much with love, new beginnings, and maternal affection. Having the custom fragrance filling the air in her bridal suite gave her the impression that her mother was at her side, supporting her every step of the way. This perfume became one of many ways in which the Kapoor family paid tribute to the memory of Anshula’s mother, showing that those whom we love never really leave us; sometimes they can be a mere whiff of a familiar aroma away.

Who Was Mona Shourie Kapoor?

Mona Shourie Kapoor was an immensely respected television producer, entrepreneur, and wife of Boney Kapoor, a Bollywood film producer. A woman of grace, charity, and shrewdness in business matters, Mona Shourie Kapoor ran Future Studios successfully and produced some well-known TV shows in the 1990s and 2000s. She was, more importantly, the caring and loving mother of her two kids, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. Her untimely death in 2012 after losing her life to cancer resulted in the loss of an irreplaceable entity for her children, who have always loved and revered her memories in everything that they do.
