Anshula Kapoor’s wedding preparations are in full swing, and the bride-to-be has been serving ethereal looks for her ceremonies. After winning hearts with a Patola-inspired lehenga for her mehendi ceremony, she shared heartwarming photos from her kaleera ceremony. In one of the posts, Arjun Kapoor and Shanaya Kapoor were seen rejoicing as the kaleera fell on them. Know all about this beautiful ritual, which is a significant part of the tradition for many Punjabi brides.

What Is A Kaleera? Understanding The Bridal Tradition

In the videos and photos shared by Anshula Kapoor, her Kaleera falls on her brother Arjun Kapoor and her cousin Shanaya Kapoor. This fun ritual usually takes place between the chooda and kaleera ceremonies, where the bride-to-be usually gathers her unmarried female friends, sisters, and cousins. She gently shakes the kaleeras above their heads to make them fall. 

What Happens If A Kaleera Falls On You?

If the Kaleera falls on anyone's head, that person is usually considered to be next in line to get married. This ritual becomes a lighthearted and fun moment at the wedding ceremony. 

Meanwhile, Anshula added a beautiful touch to her kaleere ceremony by customising them from Mrinalini Chandra. She revealed that words like joy, love and magic were added to her kaleere.

She wrote in her Instagram post, "As my family and closest friends tied them onto my wrists, they were wishing those blessings upon me. And that’s my favourite part of this tradition: when a kalira falls on someone, it’s my turn to wish those very same blessings for them. A beautiful reminder that love is meant to be shared and passed on."

She recently created Kaleere for Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's characters in Cocktail 2. She also collaborated with Nupur Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Alekha Advani, Parineeti Chopra, Rakul Preet and many more.

Coming back to Anshula Kapoor, she wore a beautiful custom mint green suit with gold embroidery by Punit Balana.
