Who Is Nida Khan? TCS Nashik BPO HR Manager Arrested in Harassment and Religious Conversion Case

The corporate world in India has been rocked by disturbing allegations emerging from a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) BPO unit in Nashik. At the centre of this storm is Nida Khan, a Human Resources manager currently facing serious charges ranging from enabling sexual harassment to overseeing attempts at forced religious conversion.
While seven individuals have already been taken into custody, Khan remains a focal point of the investigation. Here is a breakdown of the case and the role she is alleged to have played.
Who is Nida Khan? TCS Nashik BPO HR Manager Arrested in Harassment and Religious Conversion Case
Nida Khan served as an HR manager at the Nashik facility. Ironically, her professional mandate was to uphold workplace safety and enforce POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) guidelines.

Believed to be in her early 30s, Khan is an alumna of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Since the scandal broke, her social media presence, specifically her LinkedIn profile, has been scrutinised by the public as investigators piece together her professional history.
TCS Nashik Case: Allegations of Workplace Harassment and ‘Enabling’
The case came to light after eight female employees filed police complaints detailing a toxic environment of mental and sexual abuse. The victims allege that senior male colleagues:
- Made inappropriate physical contact and obscene advances.
- Used ‘double-meaning’ comments and personal remarks about their marriages.
- Increased the workload of those who resisted these advances.
Where does Nida Khan fit in? Rather than protecting these women, Khan is accused of acting as an ‘enabler.’ Reports suggest she ignored repeated formal complaints and failed to escalate the matter to senior management. Instead of support, victims were allegedly met with threats of termination.
TCS Nashik Case: The ‘Lady Captain’ and Religious Conversion Claims
Perhaps the most shocking aspect of the case involves allegations of forced religious conversion. Known by the moniker ‘Lady Captain,’ Khan is accused of befriending female staff members before gradually pressuring them to adopt Islamic practices.
According to reports from NDTV and other outlets, she allegedly instructed employees on how to perform Namaz and wear the hijab. Police are currently investigating whether there was an organized effort to coerce employees into changing their faith between February 2022 and March 2026.

TCS Nashik Case Current Status: The SIT Investigation
The Nashik police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle the complexity of the nine registered FIRs.
She has been booked under various sections of the law, including:
- Outraging the modesty of a woman.
- Criminal intimidation.
- Violations related to forced religious conversion.
TCS Nashik Case: TCS and Tata Sons Respond
The leadership at Tata Sons has expressed deep distress over the events. Chairman N Chandrasekaran described the allegations as ‘gravely concerning and anguishing.’
In response, TCS has launched an internal probe led by Chief Operating Officer Arathi Subramanian. Suspended all accused staff members and reaffirmed a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy regarding harassment and coercion.
