HZ Tried & Tested: Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo Detailed Review

We all want a shampoo that works well on our prized possessions, our tresses but we are rarely able to settle on one fixed product. If we have hair fall, we want something that controls it, if we have oily hair then a shampoo that can moderate it, is needed and same goes for dry hair, curly hair, frizzy hair, scalps with dandruff... I too am on the 'talaash' of that perfect shampoo for my dry and wavy, frizzy hair which is dire need of taming. So I gave a try to this much talked about shampoo Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo for a month and here is my review.

Want hair that’s smoother, straighter and easier to style? Use this shampoo as it is formulated to leave your hair gorgeously sleek and manageable. It has lower sulfates, helps restore keratin and nourishes each strand to leave hair gorgeously straighter, shinier and more manageable. 

Main Ingredients

• Argan Oil
• Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS)

Packaging

I like the packaging as it is very sturdy and the mouth of the bottle is like any other push button. It is available in different sizes so it basically fits all budgets.

Consistency wise it is a little on the thicker side. If you have long hair, you might need a two-three coin size amount. I recommend this shampoo for only dry hair though. If you have oily hair then stay away as it makes your hair look oilier.

Fragrance

It has a nice sweet fruity fragrance and surprisingly it lasts all day long. 

My Experience

When it comes to using any shampoo, I mostly dilute an amount with water and then shampoo my hair. I leave it on for few minuted like 4-5 minutes and then wash it off. Then comes the conditioner which I used of another brand... It cleanses your hair very well in the first go. It lathers a  lot as well. The fragrance is nice and everything but the catch which actually irks me is that it contains SLS, basically, Sulfate which is not good. I used it for a month which is twice a week and it was effective I agree. But the SLS is a heart breaker.

Pros:

• Not very expensive.
• A little goes a long way.
• Cleanses the hair & scalp well.
• Leaves the hair clean, frizz-free and manageable for up to 3 days.
• Easily available.
• Suitable for thick, naturally wavy hair.

Cons: 

• Contains SLS.
• Not suitable for fine hair.

My Verdict

I would not repurchase it because of the SLS in it.
