If you are soon getting married then you must be going through several emotions. Would-be brides are worried about many things, excited about a future but sad over the house and family they will no longer be staying with. So many emotions are experienced by brides. But when it comes to packing, brides do not want to leave anything behind but then they have to pick and choose and some of the belongings are supposed to be new traditionally when they are getting married. So here are a few staples that all wedding trousseaus should have.
Carry rich, heavy worked suits with embroidery. They come in handy when we talk about after wedding dinners and other parties that follow and you have to be ready for. Keep some anarkali suits as well which look good for cocktail dinners or evening parties. Also keep some sharara suit sets at the ready.
Have all those traditional sarees in your bag. Make sure you have Gota Patti Saree, Lace Saree, Kanjeevaram, Paithani Saree, Printed Satin Saree, Banarasi Silk Saree, Chanderi Saree, Sequin and Hand-Embroidered Saree. All of these are must-have sarees that come in use on some or the other occasion.
Keep some light lehengas for those weddings you might have to attend on the in-law's side.
A makeup kit is what we never forget but what all should we carry? So here is a checklist: moisturiser, sunscreen, foundation that goes with your skin tone, eyeliner that is waterproof, highlighter, concealer, lipsticks which are nude, reds and browns. Eyeshadow palettes in nudes, dark hues and golden as well. Do not forget your lip balm, Lacto calamine just in case some allergy breaks out, shower gel, perfume, and body mist. And one thing which is key is your antiperspirant. Do not forget that!
Keep footwear that matches all your outfits or at least some of them. Keep some key ones at the ready like you can wear kitten heels with pants and dresses, wedges would also go with dresses, skirts, lehengas and even suits. Keep some flat kolhapuris also. Pack whatever is comfortable.
Lingerie is all good, we know that you know what to pack but do not forget to add classy sets in satin and cotton. Do not forget robes either. They really do come in handy.
Piece Of Old You
Memories are all we have of our homes and it is necessary that you take a piece of it with you. Take whatever you connect with the most that lies in your own bedroom or anywhere in the house. It could be a simple scarf, a photo frame, a soft toy, your dreamcatcher, books... anything related to even your childhood.
