Diwali puja is performed in the evening and as per astrology it is important to ensure the right direction for puja. This is because it might impact the energy of the house. Puja should be done in the northeast direction, as it is considered the place of gods. The south-east direction is also considered favourable for puja. It is recommended to perform puja facing the east direction.
Decoration As Per Vastu
As per Vastu, it is recommended to use red, green, violet, cream, and yellow colour for decoration purposes. Making swastika rangoli at the puja place is also considered auspicious as the swastika symbol is goddess Laxmi’s favourite symbol.
