Maintaining good menstrual hygiene is important to maintaining the pH level of the vagina. Alteration in the flora can increase the chances of bacterial infections.
Increased Risks Of Abortions
If you do not maintain menstrual hygiene, frequent infections can increase the risks of abortions and preterm delivery.
Direction Of Cleaning Vagina
According to the expert, when cleaning the vagina, you must wipe it towards the anus and not vice versa. It helps to clean the intimate area without increasing the risks of infections.
Healthy Menstrual Practices
Dr Rajput said healthy menstrual practices include washing hands before and after changing sanitary products, frequently changing products and disposing of them hygienically.
