You Season 5 Commences Filming, Netflix Drops The First Look Of Joe Goldberg Returning To New York

Hello YOU! The wait is finally over as your favourite obsessive stalker and killer Joe Goldberg is back for his final kill, or we should say kills. Penn Badgley, the lead actor of the series, has commenced filming for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s popular series ‘You’. The OOT platform took to its social media handle recently to announce the good news to the You fans by sharing a behind-the-scenes image of Joe, the twisted lover who is back in New York where it all began.

In the post, Netflix captioned, “Joe's back to square one - one last time. The fifth and final season of YOU has started production!” The first glimpse of the series shows Badgley donning an all-black outfit, strolling down in New York, with an intense look on his face. 

Following the post, fans swamped down the comments section and expressed their excitement. A user commented, “Oh how I missed you, Joe.” Another wrote, “Shut Up I can't wait!!!!” Another fan wrote, “Production started! Damn! We want it rn!!!!!”

Season 5 will also have Charlotte Ritchie as Kate, Joe’s new love interest, Madeleine Brewer as Bronte “an enigmatic and free-spirited playwright who gets a job at Joe’s new bookstore,” Griffin Mathews, who will be seen playing Teddy Lockwood, Joe’s brother-in-law, and actor Anna Camp, as Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, Joe’s twin sister-in-law in important roles.

However, the makers are yet to announce the official date of the fifth and final season of the show. 

Based on Caroline Kepnes’s novels, YOU follows the story of Joe who suffers from obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. He has a negative obsession with the women he falls in love with and ends up killing them, as well as anyone else who gets in his way. While Joe’s search For The One started in New York, he is seen getting back to where it all began in the first look of season 5.
