Ustaad Bhagat Singh Box Office Performance
‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ released in cinemas on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the Ugadi festival. However, it faced an uphill battle from day one. Critics and audiences alike were divided, with many citing a disjointed second half and a narrative that relied too heavily on ‘hero moments’ rather than a cohesive script.
The film also faced stiff competition from the high-octane spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’, which dominated much of the national box office. By the end of its theatrical run, Ustaad Bhagat Singh earned roughly ₹72.38 Cr net in India, with its total worldwide gross stalling just short of the 100-crore mark at ₹97.25 Cr.

While the theatrical numbers were disappointing for a film of this scale, trade analysts expect the OTT release to garner much higher traction, as home viewers often tune in for star-driven commercial entertainers.
