The four-part Netflix docu-series ‘The Roshans', trailer was released on January 9, 2025, a day before Hrithik Roshan’s 51st birthday. The series will explore his family’s legacy featuring him, Roshan Lal, and Rajesh Roshan in the frames. Directed by Shashi Ranjan, the series also features anecdotes from various other big personalities from the film industry including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Ranbir Kapoor, and more.

The 3-minute trailer opens with Hrithik playing a cassette of his grandfather Roshan. He begins to explain why their family name changed from Nagrath to Roshan. Overwhelmed with pride and joy, Hrithik says, “That's my grandfather's voice. His full name was Roshan Lal Nagrath. It's a very interesting story about how our surname went from Nagrath to Roshan.”

The trailer transitions to the story of two brothers, Rakesh and Rajesh Roshan who inherited their father’s genius—one in music and another in acting, and filmmaking. From Roshan to Hrithik Roshan, the family saw heights of success throughout the generations.

The trailer has a line-up of starry cameos - from Asha Bhosle, Shatrughan Sinha, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Anu Malik, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prem Chopra, Vicky Kaushal, and Ranbir Kapoor talking about their views about the Roshans.
