We are officially in the endgame. ‘The Boys’ Season 5 is moving toward the series finale, and if the first three episodes are any indication, Eric Kripke isn't planning on leaving many survivors. The season kicked off with a massive statement: Homelander murdered A-Train in Episode 1. It was a brutal reminder that no one is safe, and the redemption arc many fans hoped for ended in a pool of blood. As we gear up for the next chapter, it’s time to look at who is likely to join him in the grave and who might actually walk away from this mess.

The Boys Season 5: The Survivors

Let’s start with some optimism. While this show loves a tragedy, it feels right that Hughie, Annie (Starlight), and Ryan will be the ones left standing. They represent the only real shred of hope left in this universe. Expect their ending to be bittersweet, perhaps scarred and traumatised, but they are the most likely candidates to see a world without Vought.

The Boys Season 5: Every Major Character Who Might Die

It’s hard to imagine any current member of The Seven making it out alive. Homelander is a ticking time bomb, and his ‘team’ is directly in the blast radius.

Sister Sage: She is arguably the smartest person on the planet, but she’s also incredibly ‘mouthy.’ I suspect she’ll push Homelander one step too far when he’s in a foul mood, and he’ll laser her before she can even finish a sentence.

Firecracker: Her health is already failing due to her heart issues. Between Homelander’s notorious hatred for any perceived ‘weakness’ and the Boys’ desire for revenge, she’s a goner. Homelander will likely abandon her to die or kill her himself for being ‘defective.’

Black Noir: This version of Noir feels like the perfect ‘boss fight’ fodder for Butcher. Now that Butcher has those terrifying tentacles, Noir is the ideal candidate to show off just how dangerous the former CIA operative has become.

The Deep: Whether he’s finally taken down by Annie or meets his end via some very vengeful sea creatures, his luck has to run out eventually.

The Boys: Will Butcher Kill One of His Own?

The biggest heartbreak of Season 5 might not come from a Supe, but from Butcher himself. We’ve seen him losing his humanity for years, and a bold theory suggests he might do the unthinkable: killing MM (Marvin T Milk).

MM is the heart of the team and the only one with a real family to go back to. Butcher killing him would be the ultimate sign that he is too far gone. This would likely be the catalyst for Hughie and Ryan to team up against Butcher. In the end, Butcher might regain his senses just long enough to let Ryan deliver the final blow, ending the cycle of violence.

The Boys Season 5: Homelander vs. Soldier Boy

We know Soldier Boy is the only thing that truly rattles Homelander. Their eventual rematch will likely be a highlight of the finale. While Soldier Boy is a walking nuclear option, it seems fitting that Homelander finally kills his father in a fit of rage, a victory that will probably leave him completely unhinged and vulnerable for the final showdown with the Boys.

The Corporate Shadow: Stan Edgar’s Long Game

While the Supes are busy murdering each other, Stan Edgar is playing the long game. My prediction? He survives. He is the ultimate corporate cockroach. I wouldn't be surprised to see him retake control of Vought, possibly keeping Zoe as his new personal assassin, ensuring the company lives on as a threat in future spin-offs.
