‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, marks the directorial debut of their elder son Aryan Khan. The 27-year-old, who graduated in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California, has chosen to step behind the camera instead of following his father into acting.
The Netflix show takes a satirical and humorous look at the workings of Bollywood. It explores two camps that dominate the industry: star kids often labelled “nepo babies” and the outsiders who fight their way up.

Andre Borges tweeted: ““Guys, just saw the first episode of “Bads Of Bollywood” & I was caught off guard by how much I liked it, It’s about a new young actor on the block trying to find success in Bollywood. Standard underdog story so far BUT. The way it’s told is wild… 1/n.”

Bilal Jaleel highlighted Aryan’s risks: “He’s casted all newcomers, taken pot shots at nepotism, referenced his own drug incident, got Karan Johar to play himself, and mocked fake critics. Things we’ve only heard about the industry, he’s brought to life.”

The first episode is a banger.
- he's casted all new comers
- taken pot shots at nepotism
- has a crazy recall to his drug incident which is hilarious.
- has gotten Karan Johar to play Karan Johar in the show
- Took a dig…
Another viewer, @AwaaraHoon, added: “Such a fun breezy introduction, meta humour is working properly. Cameos don’t feel forced. Aryan Khan seems to have cooked.”

@onthepath_1way called it “boring as hell from the very first episode… feels more like I’m forcing myself to like it just because Shah Rukh Khan’s son made it.”
The Bad** Bollywood series is boring as hell from the very first episode. The dubbing of the actors is not in sync, and we all know Bollywood is fantasy, but this feels more like I’m forcing myself to like it just because Shah Rukh Khan’s son made it, and we all love SRK 😎🍿

While opinions remain divided, many agree that Aryan Khan’s debut is daring, self-aware, and unafraid to poke fun at Bollywood. With seven episodes in total, viewers are curious to see how far this satire will go.
As user Anshuman Bagla (@beingansh3) summed it up: “I liked the way he ended the episode and then it says Directed by #AryanKhan… Definitely a fun watch.”
