'Stranger Things: Tales from '85' Ending Explained: If you have been missing the Hawkins crew, Netflix is bringing back your favourite characters in a new show called ‘Stranger Things: Tales from '85’. This series will be an animated take on the ‘Stranger Things’ universe. You will get to see the timeline of this animated series be set in Hawkins, Indiana, in the winter of 1985. The story of ‘Stranger Things: Tales from '85’ follows Eleven and her friends solving paranormal mysteries in their town. This sci-fi show is created by Jennifer Muro, Eric Robles and Matt Duffer. 'Stranger Things: Tales from '85' Ending Explained: What Are These New Creatures?

In this new series, we get to see the Hawkins crew, Eleven, Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair and Max Mayfield, all back together. For this new adventure, the group is joined by a new character, Nikki Baxter.

Towards the end of this season, we get to see that the gates to the Upside Down are starting to reopen again, even though Eleven had closed them in episode 6. As the Hawkins crew investigates, they find out that strange plants from the Upside Down are carrying dead spores. Initially, the group concludes that these spores need a human host to survive within 24 hours. Soon, they come to the alarming realisation that these creatures are evolving and can now survive without a host.

After gathering more information on these new creatures from their school friends who were attacked, the crew quickly connects the creatures to a more powerful source, a Queen monster controlling everything. In light of this new truth, the squad’s new mission is to stop the Queen monster before the gates to the Upside Down get reopened.

Hawkins Crew VS New Creatures: Eleven’s Final Battle With The Queen Monster 

Next, we get to see that the Queen is revealed to have found a way to reconnect with the Upside Down and is trying to open the portal again. With time running out, the Hawkins crew need to come up with a strategy to combine their efforts and defeat the Queen.

Using Eleven’s powers along with a special weapon created by Nikki, they finally face the monster. In a tense moment, the Queen is defeated, and Eleven closes the portal once more.

Who Created The Queen Monster?

While many viewers thought that Nikki’s mother, Mrs Baxter, was the one behind creating the Horde Queen, the truth reveals she is innocent. We get to see that Daniel is the figure in the video of the hazmat suit that the crew had found earlier. He worked at Hawkins Lab as a founding member of the Scientific Progress Committee but was never granted access to work on their scientific experiments. 

It is further revealed that he stole Mrs Baxter’s experiments and continued with his own. He makes a green serum, which is a combination of years of Anna Baxter’s research in trying to bring dying vegetation back to life and extracted DNA from dead Upside Down vines. While this mixture was able to bring the Upside Down vine back to life, Daniel has accidentally also created the Horde Queen.

Will There Be A 'Stranger Things: Tales from '85' Season 2?

After the battle between Eleven and the Queen monster is over, we get to see the Queen’s body lying in the Upside Down, lifeless. Suddenly, a blue flower blooms from it. With this scene, the show sends fans a clear message, this chapter might be over, but the story of mysteries in Hawkins still continues with 'Stranger Things: Tales from '85'.
