More than a year after its theatrical release, Tovino Thomas’ film ‘Nadikar’ is set to stream online. The Malayalam-language comedy-drama will begin streaming on Saina Play from August 8, 2025, the platform confirmed. The announcement comes after earlier reports from the platform in July about the film’s upcoming digital debut.

Released in theatres in May 2024, ‘Nadikar’ failed to impress at the box office despite its star-studded cast and ambitious scale.However, its OTT release offers audiences a fresh opportunity to rediscover the film from the comfort of their homes.

Nadikar Story

‘Nadikar’ (which translates to Actor) follows the story of David Padikkal, a popular Malayalam movie star whose arrogance and ego lead to a series of career failures. Played by Tovino Thomas, David must confront his fading stardom and personal flaws to reclaim his place in the industry.

The film is directed byLal Jr and written by Suvin S Somasekharan. It mixes humour and drama while shedding light on the insecurities and struggles behind the glamour of stardom.
