2. Taylor Swift’s Surprise Law & Order Cameo

Taylor Swift made a surprising cameo at the Emmys but not in a way you think. She did not attend the ceremony but was seen in a sketch of 'Law & Order: SVU' with Mariska Hargitay. The segment aired midway through the awards and included Ice T, Kelli Giddish, and Peter Scanavino.

3. Tribute to Catherine O'Hara and Dolly Parton

Emmys paid a heartfelt tribute to Catherine O'Hara and Dolly Parton, the legends we lost in 2026. Dan Levy, who played Catherine's son in Schitt's Creek, paid tribute to the late actress along with Annie Murphy and Macaulay Culkin. Visibly emotional, they said, "She was our mom."

4. Kaley Cuoco Becoming Emotional On Fiancé Tom Pelphrey's Big Win

The Big Bang Theory fame Kaley Cuoco became emotional after her fiance Tom Pelphrey won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama for his role in 'Task'. He said, "And to my favorite actor in this room. My love, my best friend, my partner. The very pregnant Kaley Cuoco. I love you more than anything, and our family, the crown jewel of our life, Matilda, daddy loves you. Baby girl in that belly, Daddy loves you. Thank you, God bless!"

5. Jean Smart Creating History With Another Win

Jean Smart won Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Hacks. That was not only the highlight of the ceremony, but it was also the record she has created. She has won eight acting Emmys, making her most acting Emmy wins by a performer along with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Cloris Leachman, and Allison Janney.
