The Blue Dragon Series Awards ceremony was a night of joy, glitter, and honouring the best artists in the Korean entertainment industry. The awards show included a lot of A-listers. The 2nd edition of Blue Dragon Series Awards was held on July 19, 2023, at Incheon’s Paradise City. The prestigious awards show was hosted by Girls’ Generation’s Im Yoon-ah aka Yoona and popular TV host Jun Hyun moo.
The Blue Dragon Series Awards are South Korea's first-ever award event that honours shows that have been made available via streaming services only. The nominations for this year’s awards consist of dramas and variety shows produced by streaming services and that were released from May 1, 2022, to May 31, 2023.
The Daesang (Grand Prize) was won by Song Hye kyo for her blockbuster Korean drama ‘The Glory’, and her co-star Lim Ji yeon won the award for Best Supporting Actress. This year’s award for Best Drama was won by ‘Big Bet’ which is a crime-action Korean drama. The award for Best Variety Program went to ‘Siren: Survive the Island’. Suzy won Best Actress for ‘Anna’ and Ha Jung woo won Best Actor for his drama ‘Narco-Saints’.

The award ceremony was broadcast live online for viewers all over the world on a variety of streaming platforms and YouTube channels, including the KBS Entertainment and KBS Kpop YouTube channels. The event's red carpet was at 03:00 PM IST, 06:30 PM KST, while the ceremony started at 05:00 PM IST, 08:30 PM KST. Some videos and images from the ceremony are already going viral on social media.
