While the film's unique premise of a 'hunger comedy was lauded, critics noted that the execution fell short of its potential.
The narrative, though fresh on paper, was criticised for its inconsistent tone, wavering between slapstick humour and misplaced sentiment. Despite this, some performances, particularly by Praveen and Viva Harsha, were well-received. The film's technical aspects, including the cinematography and music, were considered adequate but not particularly memorable. The pacing was also a point of criticism, with many scenes feeling overstretched and repetitive, which bogged down the overall narrative.
For those in the mood for an unconventional mix of laughs and scares, the movie provides a decent weekend watch, proving that content-driven films can find their audience beyond the big screen.
