Kang Sang Jun will be playing the character Yoon Deok-hyun, a man tormented by painful events from his past. He finds peace and a sense of belonging while being in the ocean.

According to the IMDb gist of this show, the plot of ‘Azure Springs’ reads as, “After years marked by injury and failure, former swimmer Anna returns to her quiet seaside hometown, leaving her dreams behind. There, she crosses paths with Yun Deok Hyun, a quiet sea diver who remains trapped in his past, enduring time in silence. Brought together under one roof, Anna begins to learn diving from him, slowly finding her way back to life. But as their distance closes, unspoken emotions rise, and a long-buried secret surrounding Deok Hyun begins to fracture their fragile peace.”

With their past refusing to stay buried, they are pushed to confront everything that they have been running from and find the courage to move forward.

The story of this K-drama is based on the webtoon of the same name by Jang Deok-hyun.
