International Women’s Day originated more than 100 years ago. Interestingly, Women’s Day was introduced way back though, in the year 1909 when the Socialist Party Of America celebrated the first ever National Women's Day. In the following years, the day was adopted by other parties too. However, it was in 1975 that the day was officially adopted.
