Days after stating that public declarations weren’t necessary before tying the knot, India’s greatest living Olympian, Neeraj Chopra, announced his wedding to tennis player Himani Mor. The couple celebrated their union in a private ceremony.

Neeraj shared the joyous news on January 1, 2025, through a heartfelt social media post, accompanied by pictures from the event held in Himachal Pradesh. “Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after,” he wrote.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Neeraj’s paternal uncle Bhim Chopra revealed that the wedding was an arranged affair. “The ceremony took place on January 16 in Himachal Pradesh, with both families in attendance,” he said.

Who Is Himani Mor?

Himani Mor, a tennis player hailing from Sonipat, has made a significant impact in the sport with her remarkable achievements. Here’s more information about her journey.

• Background: Himani Mor hails from Larsauli village in Sonipat, Haryana. She completed her schooling at Little Angels School in Sonipat.
• Education: Himani pursued a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Physical Education from Miranda House, Delhi University. She is currently enrolled in a Master's programme in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire, USA.
• Tennis Career: A dedicated tennis player, Himani represented India at the 2017 World University Games in Taipei. She also clinched a gold medal at the World Junior Tennis Championship held in Malaysia in 2016.

Bhim, who resides with the Olympic double medallist in Khandra, stated, as per NDTV, "The girl is from Sonipat and is studying in the US. They have left the country for their honeymoon, and I am unaware of their travel destinations. We wanted to keep it private."
