UK Influencer, Who Had 18 Surgeries To Look 'Korean', Wants To Be British Again

A British-born influencer, who had 18 cosmetic procedures to make him look ‘Korean’, to look more like a member of a well-known K-pop group BTS, has now declared he wants to leave his controversial “transracial” identity behind and look British again.

Oli London had declared that he is nonbinary during Pride month in 2021, and changed his pronouns to they/them and neopronouns like “kor/ean and ji/min”, which garnered him further criticism for fetishising the Korean culture. He had as many as 18 surgeries to look like Jimin (from BTS). . Early in 2022, he declared being a genderfluid trans woman and announced he wanted to get further surgeries to look like singer Rosé from Blackpink. However recently, Oli has shared that he no longer identifies as trans on Twitter, "I am no longer trans and have gone back to living as a man. Grateful if everyone could respect my new pronouns- He/Him KOR/EAN. Thank you.".

London has realised that identifying as a "transracial" was a mistake and that he will now return to his original identity as a British man. London stated that because of his lifestyle and recent extensive surgeries (Neelam Kothari And Other Celebs Talking Openly About Cosmetic Procedures) he received a lot of criticism on all his social media platforms.

He had cheekily said earlier, "I identify with the Korean community. Maybe they will accept me more now because I have a look."

Although he received a lot of sympathy from social media users, there was considerable criticism from those, who believed it was risky to have so many surgeries to change one's appearance.

London, who called it all a "big mistake," has decided to return to his original identity. According to reports, London reportedly spent more than $2,71,000 on surgeries over the last eight years.

Oli London gave a yet another controversial interview to Fox News, where he said, "I realise that was a big mistake and I just want to be a boy. But is it any wonder people like me and young people want to change their gender when we have normalisation of this in our schools in this country?" London told Tucker Carlson on Fox News.

Few people have called him out for this stance for spreading misinformation about trans people and calling it transphobic. One comment under his Instagram post, by a user named n_crozierni, read, “Detransitioned into a transphobe how lovely”
