
The teaser of the upcoming Hindi action film Shehzaada starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon was unveiled on the occasion of Aaryan’s birthday on November 22. Netizens have mixed reactions to it.
Comparing Aaryan to Telugu actor Allu Arjun, they said that he chose the wrong script and why is he trying to be like the Telugu actor and that he is “overacting”. One user wrote, “Is baar galat script chun li (you chose the wrong script this time)” while another wrote, “Kaha Allu Arjun Se compare kar rahe ho apne aap ko (how are you comparing yourself to Allu Arjun)." Another wrote, “Big fan of Kartik but ye movie me allu arjun aacha laga tha bs (I liked Allu Arjun in this film better)” and another wrote, “Is baar overacting kardi (You overacted this time).”

The upcoming film is a Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu action drama film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. The film also features Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, Nivetha Pethuraj, Samuthirakani, Murali Sharma, Navdeep, Sunil, Sachin Khedekar, Harsha Vardhan, and Rajendra Prasad in pivotal roles.
In the teaser of the upcoming video, Aaryan is seen riding a horse and entering through the gate of a mansion, and in the next scene, he is seen fighting in dramatic action sequences. The video also features Sanon in dance sequences and cheering Shehzaada. “Jab baat FAMILY pe aaye toh discussion nahi karte… ACTION karte hain !! A Birthday Gift from your #Shehzada” wrote Aaryan on social media.
The original film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo revolves around Bantu (played by Allu Arjun), a middle-class man who is often neglected by his father and believes in hard work. However, he is unaware of the fact that he is actually the son of a billionaire who was swapped by his present father to give his son a comfortable life. During a violent incident, Bantu encounters the truth and decides to enter Vaikunthapuram, the home of his real parents. The story unfolds as Bantu confronts the enemies who are a threat to his family.

The film collected ₹262–280 crore approximately worldwide and became one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of the year. The song Butta Bomma gained massive popularity across the country and went viral. Thaman won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction for the film and it also won as many as 10 South Indian International Movie Awards including Best Film – Telugu.
