Xiaomi just expanded its current Note 15 range with the brand new Redmi Note 15 SE 5G. It costs a bit less than the standard model and makes a few little compromises on the spec sheet to hit that lower price tag. But it actually beats its older sibling in one crucial area: the battery is absolutely massive. Let's take a closer look at exactly what it has to offer.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G: Price and Availability

The phone goes on sale April 7, 2026, on Flipkart and Xiaomi.com. Three variants are available:

• 6GB + 128GB: ₹19999
• 8GB + 128GB: ₹21999
• 8GB + 256GB: ₹23999

ICICI credit card holders get ₹2000 off on all variants. The phone comes in three colours, Frosted White, Carbon Black, and Crimson Reserve. The red Crimson Reserve variant has a textured, leather-like finish for better grip. The other two are standard glass backs.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G: Design and Build

The Carbon Black model is 7.35mm thin and weighs 178 grams, light for a phone with a battery this size. The curved edges make it comfortable to hold. Build quality is in line with what you'd expect at this price.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G: Display

6.77-inch curved panel. Brightness is adequate for outdoor use, colours are well-calibrated, and scrolling is smooth. No complaints for this segment.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G: Performance

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G: Battery

This is where the SE makes its case. A 5800mAh battery is larger than what the standard Note 15 offers. Real-world usage should comfortably get through a full day of heavy use. Light users can likely stretch it to two days. A 45W charger is included in the box, that part is worth noting since brands have started skipping it at this price point.

Redmi Note 15 SE 5G: Cameras

• Rear: 50MP primary + 2MP depth sensor
• Front: 20MP
• No ultrawide lens

Dust and splash resistance is present. Dual speakers are on board. The phone ships with HyperOS, Xiaomi's latest software layer.

The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G is a practical choice at ₹19999 if battery life is the main requirement. The processor handles daily tasks well, the display is good, and the battery is genuinely one of the bigger ones in this segment. The camera system is the only area where it asks for compromise. If photography matters to you, the standard Note 15 or a competing device would serve better. For everything else, this one covers the basics without cutting corners where it counts.
