Redmi has officially teased the launch of two new smartphones in India as part of its 11th-anniversary celebrations in the country. While the company has not revealed the names and features of the upcoming handsets, rumours strongly suggest these could be the Redmi 15 5G and Redmi 15C models.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has shown the side profile of one model in recent teasers, highlighting its large battery capacity as a key feature. However, the exact battery specifications remain unconfirmed by the company.

A dedicated landing page on the Xiaomi India website has confirmed the upcoming launch of a new Redmi smartphone. The page features the tagline ‘power revolution’ and suggests that the device will pack a significantly large battery. According to the teaser, the upcoming model may offer up to 7.5 hours of standby time with only 1 per cent charge.
An Amazon microsite for the same Redmi smartphone has also gone live, indicating that the device will be available for purchase through the e-commerce platform alongside the official Xiaomi India e-store. This multi-platform availability suggests a major launch strategy for the upcoming device.
The company's teaser reveals the side profile of the upcoming Redmi handset, showing the left edge with the power button and volume rocker clearly visible. Although not fully displayed, at least two camera bumps can be seen at the back of the device.
Redmi 15 Series Launch Expected
According to a XiaomiTime report, Redmi could unveil the complete Redmi 15 series in India, including the base Redmi 15 and the Redmi 15C model. Details about the Redmi 15C have already surfaced through online leaks. An online listing reveals that the Redmi 15C will feature a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup and a 6,000mAh battery.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) claimed in an X post that the big-battery smartphone teased for India launch is likely the base Redmi 15 5G. According to the leak, the phone is expected to pack a 7,000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC. The device could be available in an 8GB + 256GB variant and will likely ship with Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0.

The Redmi 15 5G is expected to sport a 6.9-inch full-HD+ LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate." The device may feature an IP64-rated build for dust and splash resistance, making it suitable for everyday use in various conditions.
