On the occasion of the yearly brahmotsavam, Princess Qhabl Begum Sahiba Esra Birgen,the late titular Nizam Mukarram Jah's wife, donated 67 grammes of gold jewellery worth approximately ₹5 lakh to the temple of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. The princess currently resides in London but frequently travels to Hyderabad and her native Turkey.
On February 26, the Yadadri Temple Development Authority deputy chairman G Kishan Rao presented the gold jewellery to the temple executive officer N Geetha on behalf of Princess Esra.
According to Kishan Rao, Princess Esra expressed interest in visiting the temple, which is said to be Telangana’s own Tirumala, when they talked about the renovation project a few years ago. She told him she wanted to make a donation to the temple after the temple was reopened in the beginning of last year and its images and videos got widely circulated in the media.

As per her wish Princess Esra just bought a gold chain from Hyderabad which Kishan Rao presented to the temple officials on her behalf. She was scheduled to visit the temple on a recent trip to the city, but she was unable to do so due to Mukarram Jah's passing last month.
On the fifth day of the yearly brahmotsavam on Sunday, Yadadri Sri Lakshminarsihma Swami came to devotees dressed as "Govardhana Giridhari".
The temple priests performed "Govardhana Giridhari Alankara Seva" for the ceremonial idol of Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy while chanting "veda mantras". On the hill shrine, a procession of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy was carried out along the "mada veedhulu".
Previously, The final Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Osman Ali Khan, had also given the temple a grant of ₹82,825 during Asaf Jahi's tenure.

Princess Qhabl Begum Sahiba Esra Birgen was born in 1936 and is a member of Hyderabad's Asaf Jah Dynasty. Her former husband was Prince Mukarram Jah. She is ay princess by marriage. The renovation of the Chowmahalla and Falaknuma palaces is attributed to her. While the latter was leased to the Taj Group as a premium hotel, the former was made available to the general public.
