The wait for Nothing’s next mid-range smartphone is nearly over. The company, led by Carl Pei, has officially confirmed that the Nothing Phone 3a Lite 5G will launch globally on October 29 at 1 PM GMT (6:30 PM IST). The handset is expected to be a lighter, more affordable variant of the Phone 3 series, with a few subtle yet stylish tweaks to its design.
In an official post on X (formerly Twitter), Nothing confirmed the launch of the Phone 3a Lite, teasing a glimpse of its design. The image highlights an LED light placed at the bottom of the rear panel, likely serving as a notification indicator or part of Nothing’s signature Glyph lighting system.
While the brand hasn’t yet shared detailed specifications or pricing, reports suggest the device will be positioned below the Phone 3a, which was launched in March 2025 starting at ₹22,999.

Nothing has built its identity around minimalism and transparency, and the Phone 3a Lite is expected to carry forward that design philosophy. Early leaks hint at a flat-edged frame, symmetrical bezels, and a dual-camera setup aligned centrally on the back. The Glyph interface is likely to return, albeit with fewer lighting zones than the flagship models to keep costs in check. The device may arrive in black and white colour variants at launch.
Benchmark listings spotted earlier this month indicate that the Nothing Phone 3a Lite could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device reportedly runs Android 15 out of the box, making it one of the early phones to feature the new OS version.
Users can also expect a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring fluid scrolling and vibrant visuals. The phone may pack a 5,000mAh battery, similar to its sibling, the CMF Phone 2 Pro.

The Nothing Phone 3a Lite will likely debut in India soon after its global launch. Industry insiders suggest that the model could be a redesigned version of the CMF Phone 2 Pro, tailored for the Indian market. Given its “Lite” branding, the smartphone is expected to be priced below ₹22,999, appealing to budget-conscious consumers who still want a taste of Nothing’s unique aesthetic and user experience.
As Nothing continues to expand its product portfolio, the Phone 3a Lite 5G seems poised to blend affordability with design innovation, a move that could make it one of the most anticipated mid-range smartphones of the year.
