When is Makar Sankranti 2024?

While this festival is celebrated on January 14 every year, this time, it will be observed one day later, i.e., January 15. This is a result of the direction of the planets as the Sun will be leaving Sagittarius and entering Capricorn at 2:54 am on January 15. Therefore, as per the Suryoday Tithi, we will celebrate Makar Sankranti on January 15 this year.
