• Use a medium to large plastic bottle, like a recycled soft drink bottle. It should be at least 12-14 inches tall.
• Cut the top of the bottle off, leaving about 6-7 inches to create a planting area.
• Drill several small holes at the bottom of the bottle for drainage to prevent waterlogging.
• Fill the bottle with well-draining potting soil, leaving 2 inches of space at the top. Firm the soil lightly but don’t compact it too much.
• Create small holes about 1 inch deep in the soil, and place 2-3 radish seeds in each hole.
• Water the seeds gently using a watering can or spray bottle. Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
• Place the bottle in a sunny spot that gets at least 4-6 hours of sunlight daily.
• Keep the temperature around 50-70°F (10-21°C) for optimal growth.
• Water regularly, checking every couple of days to make sure the soil stays moist.
• Fertilise with a balanced, water-soluble fertiliser every 2-3 weeks.
• Radishes typically mature in 25-30 days. Gently pull the plants to check their size.
