The PM Internship Scheme 2025 has garnered significant attention, with over 155,000 candidates registering to take part. Launched by the Government of India on October 3, 2024, with an aim to skill 1 crore youth and build the employment gap. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the PM Internship Scheme to offer internship opportunities to unemployed youth in India. The registration portal went live on October 12, 2024, and the last date for the registration is yet to be announced by government officials.
“Announced in the Union Budget for 2024-25, the scheme kicked off with a pilot project for the financial year 2024-25, targeting 1.25 lakh internships. The internship opportunities span 24 sectors, including oil, gas, energy, travel, hospitality, automotive, banking and financial services, etc”, according to the Press Information Bureau, Government of India.
The registration for the PM Internship Scheme 2025 is now open again. According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), the last date to apply is March 12, 2025. The MCA has announced that the registration process for the PM Internship Scheme 2025 is available on its official website, pminternship.mca.gov.in.

According to the information shared by the Press Information Bureau, Government of India, below is the eligibility criteria:
“The Pilot Project offers a 12-month internship program designed for youth aged 21 to 24 years, specifically for Indian nationals who are not employed full-time or engaged in full-time education. Candidates enrolled in online or distance learning programs are eligible to apply. Internships can be applied for through the PM Internship Portal, from October 12, 2024. The Project aims for 1.25 lakh internships for the Financial Year 2024-25.
Candidates who have passed High School or Higher Secondary School, have a certificate from an ITI, and have a diploma from a polytechnic institute. Graduated with degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, etc.” (Top 5 Colleges In Noida 2024)
