Ghaziabad Horror: 7-Year-Old Girl Raped And Killed, Body Found Hidden Under A Pile Of Bricks

The postmortem report has revealed that she suffered some injuries on the head, which resulted in her death.

The dead body of a 7-year-old girl was found in a drain in Masuri, Ghaziabad on Sunday. Reportedly, the body was hidden from sight by a pile of bricks on top of it. The girl went missing on Saturday evening when she was last spotted inside her home playing with other kids. An autopsy on the girl’s body has revealed that she was sexually assaulted before being killed.

Postmortem Report Revealed That A Head Injury Led To Girl's Death

On Sunday afternoon, the girl's body was discovered 50m away from her home, dumped in a drain, covered by a pile of bricks. DCP (rural) Vivek Yadav said that the body couldn’t be discovered earlier as it was hidden out of sight under the bricks. “The girl’s family last spotted her outside the house playing with other children. After it turned dark, her parents started looking for her when she didn’t come home. They visited every house in the area, but couldn’t find her. Then they approached cops and filed a missing person’s complaint.” said the DCP. 

“The postmortem report has revealed that she suffered some injuries on the head, which resulted in her death. The report also revealed that the girl was sexually abused, after which she was murdered,” said Yadav, adding that an FIR was registered against the accused under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC on the basis of the complaint filed by the girl’s father, who is a labourer.

Accused Are Yet To Be Arrested

“Four teams have been formed to nab the accused. Police are also scanning CCTV cameras of the nearby areas for clues,” the DCP added. He further revealed that IPC Section 376 (punishment for sexual assault and relevant sections of the POCSO Act will be added to the FIR soon.
