In a very unfortunate piece of news, it has been reported that Dr. Chinna Dua, wife of renowned journalist Vinod Dua passed away after battling Covid 19 at the Medanta Hospital, Gurugram on 11 June. The 61-year-old was a famous social media influencer, radiologist, singer, cook, and a greatly remarkable woman. Vinod Dua officially announced her death and all her followers/friends expressed deep sadness after the event.
Mr. Vinod Dua, her husband, had contracted Covid-19 in the first week of May after which they both were observing home quarantine. But their condition worsened and they were both hospitalised for better treatment.
On the 9th of May, she updated her friends and followers on social media about her health by writing “Vinod’s fever frequency has come down. Cough is pretty bad but the medication , steam & nebuliser is helping bring out the phlegm which provides relief. By the grace of God on the whole he is feeling better. We both had HRCT chest. My score is 2 & his 8-9. I started on steroids last night. I had fever thrice yesterday and the fever at night made me most uncertain & disturbed my sleep. Hopefully steroids will make a difference. 🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏. Thanks all for your concern, blessings & prayers.”

And similar updates about their health were regularly posted on her social media or by her daughter Mallika Dua on her account. On the 15th of May a post was uploaded through her account wherein she spoke about her and her husband getting admitted to Medanta on the 14th June. She was on 15 liters of oxygen support and was feeling breathless as per the post.
Further, on 22nd May she also requested all her friends and followers to remember her in their prayers as she would still need sometime to recover. Mallika Dua updated about her worsening condition and updated that her mother was on ventilator support.
Mallika posted the above picture on her account on mother's day and wished for her parents to get well soon. She also wrote "Happy Mother’s Day my cute girl @chinnadua, please get well soon? The monkeys in the balcony are waiting for you. Plus I really miss throwing tantrums."

We learn to mask up?
We choose vaccinate & not graduate from WA Univ?
We embrace kindness and not hoard essentials / put out exorbitant prices?
P.S: Today has been hardest, for it took away a few of the kindest #surekha#chinnadua
