Within hours, Diljit Dosanjh's Delhi concert went from a much-awaited homecoming to a big question mark. Reports said Delhi Police had refused permission for the October 30 show at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Then Diljit's team posted something that made fans pause before believing the word "cancelled."
What The Reports Say About Diljit’s Aura India Tour
According to reports, a letter was sent to ticketing platform BookMyShow by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South District. It said the request to organise the Delhi leg of the Aura India Tour had been examined but could not be approved. The letter reportedly mentioned "specific threat-related inputs" and the police's security and law-and-order commitments during the ongoing festive season, along with other concerns.
What Diljit's Team Just Posted on Instagram?
Soon after, the official Team Diljit Global account put up a video on Instagram with the text "Aura India Tour, October 30, 2026 JLN Stadium, Delhi" over concert footage. The caption was in Punjabi and ended with "30 October Delhi" and the hashtag #diljitdosanjh. The post collected thousands of likes within the first hour, and fellow singers and fans were quick to drop heart emojis in the comments.

So, Is Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi Concert Cancelled?
Not officially. The post does not mention the police letter, a permission or a new date, so it cannot be read as a confirmation that the show will go ahead. It also does not say the show is off. At the moment, there is a reported denial of permission on one side and a team that is still promoting the date on the other. Diljit, his team and the organisers have not issued any statement on the cancellation, and BookMyShow has not announced a refund or a new date. The organisers have also not said whether they will apply for fresh permission.

When Is Diljit’s Aura India Tour In Delhi 2026
The Delhi concert was first planned for November 1 and was shifted to October 30 after Diljit and the organisers agreed to the change. If another change is needed, this will be the second reschedule for the same show.

What Happens To The Tour?
If Delhi does not happen on October 30, the India leg is likely to begin with the Indore show on November 15, after Diwali. That would change the opening of the tour, which was meant to start in the capital.

What Ticket Holders Should Do?
Fans who have already booked do not need to rush for a refund yet. Keep an eye on your BookMyShow account and on Diljit's official social media pages, since any refund, new venue or new date will be announced there first. Avoid forwarded messages and unverified posts claiming inside information.

Why Delhi Matters To Fans?
Diljit last toured India in 2024 with the Dil-Luminati Tour, and the Delhi show at JLN Stadium was among the biggest of that run. That is why this news has hit so hard. Delhi was supposed to be the grand return.
For now, the show sits in limbo, with no official cancellation and no official all-clear either.
