Post-conclusion of the Delhi assembly campaign on Monday, all eyes are now on the voting day, which will be held on February 5, 2025. The election is taking place to elect members for the 70-member assembly. Results for the same will be announced on February 8. This year’s Delhi Assembly elections are going to be a three-cornered battle between three major parties including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress. Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP secured the winning spot in the last two elections in 2015 and 2020. Before AAP’s dominance, Congress held power in the city for 15 years. BJP has not been in control for 27 years.
Delhi has 13,766 polling stations ready to facilitate the election process. Among the 1.56 registered voters, 83.76 lakhs are men, 72.36 lakhs are women, and 1,267 are third-gender voters.
