Bhagwant Mann is known for his convincing win in the constituency elections that took place in Punjab in 2022, as he dethroned Congress after a series of ruling years. Bhagwant Mann is a known face in the entertainment industry as he was once a comedian who performed at multiple shows, making the audience love him for his work.

It was in 2014 that the comedian took up the role of being a politician and joined the AAP (Aam Aadmi Party).

Though we may know a lot about him, little do we know about his ex-wife, Inderpreet Kaur.

Who Is Inderpreet Kaur?

Inderpreet Kaur is the ex-wife of comedian turned politician, Bhagwant Mann who is a CM candidate from the AAP after winning the 2022 Legislative Assembly.

She was born in Bhadewal, a village in Doraha Tehsil in Ludhiana, Punjab.

The couple has two lovely children, a son named Dilshan Singh Mann and a daughter named Seerat Kaur Mann.

When And Why Did The Couple Separate?

While the family details remain personal for the family, the couple filed for a divorce in the year 2015. Bhagwant Mann made his statement saying that his divorce case was no more a personal matter. He claimed to have said that he chose “Punjab over family”.

The news came like a shock to everybody as everybody was in as assumption of their ‘happy marriage’.

The politician released a self-written poem over his choice “Jo latkeya si chiran ton o hal ho geya Court ch eh faisla kal ho geya Ek passay parivar, dujje passay si parivar Main tan yarro Punjab de wal ho geya”

The couple was given a span of 6 months to think over their decision, but Mann was adamant about his and it showed through his actions and words.

His wife has always been part of his political life, too. She has accompanied him to political rallies since his Peoples’ Party of Punjab (PPP) days and delivered speeches in his favour in the villages of Sangrur during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections to help him win. She even stood by him outside the counting center on the 2014 general election results day, but she has not been in the picture since.

What Is The Current Status?

As Bhagwant Mann is swearing to become the next CM of Punjab, 'He was always in my prayers, will always be..,’ said his ex-wife, Inderpreet Kaur as her kids are flying back to India to attend the ceremony.
