Apple iOS 26 Release Date
The Apple iOS 26 Developer Beta became available on June 9, 2025, for registered Apple Developers. A more stable Public Beta version will roll out in July 2025, open to all iPhone users via the Apple Beta Software Program.
The official stable version of iOS 26 is expected to launch globally around September 2025, alongside the new iPhone 17 series. This follows Apple's usual pattern of major software updates in sync with hardware releases.
Apple iOS 26: Which iPhones Are Eligible For The Update?
The iOS 26 update will be free to download for the following iPhones:
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 12 series
- iPhone 13 series
- iPhone 14 series
- iPhone 15 series
- iPhone 16 series
However, some of the newest features, especially those powered by Apple Intelligence, will only be available on:
- iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max
- iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max
