Bigg Boss 12 season has come to an end and Deepika Kakar beat Sreesanth and Deepak Thakur to emerge as a winner after a tough fight. Deepika became famous with the show Sasural Simar Ka and has participated on other TV soaps as well as reality shows like Nach Baliye. The actor was called a fake contestant by the other members of the Bigg Boss house but her fan following due to her stint in TV shows came to her rescue every time for voting.

• Deepika worked as an air hostess for around 3 years but had to leave the job due to health problems.
• Her first ever role was a cameo on the show Rishta.com which was produced by Aditya Chopra under YRF television.
• She participated in the 7th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as a guest and returned in season 8 as a contestant with actor Shoaib Ibrahim who she married this year. This was reportedly her second marriage as she was married to pilot Raunak Samson during her stint as an air hostess.
• She courted controversy for changing her religion to Islam to get married to her co-star Shoaib Ibrahim. She also changed her name to Faiza.
• She made her Bollywood debut with the J.P. Dutta film Paltan and is a fan of Madhuri Dixit.
• She has a pug named Cuddles and she is so attached to her pet that she once chose to travel by train for an awards show because making the pet travel in a flight was difficult.
