South superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna aka NBK’s upcoming movie Daaku Maharaaj is all set to hit the big screens on January 12, 2025. The third song of the film ‘Dabidi Dibidi’ which features the 64-year-old actor with Urvashi Rautela has sparked controversy upon its release. Reportedly, the dance video has led to a spree of negative comments on the internet due to its choreography and perceived inappropriateness of dance moves.
The music video opens with Urvashi clad in a crop top and skirt while NBK is dressed in a blue shirt and ornate jacket. The choreography, led by Sekhar Master, saw Balakrishna playfully hitting Urvashi’s belly button and pulling her from the middle of the skirt during the chorus, which many viewers found objectionable. Netizens are pointing out the stark age difference between 64-year-old Balakrishna and 30-year-old Urvashi, pouring comments on social media about the appropriateness of their on-screen chemistry.

Adding to the controversy, many viewers expressed their discontent over the inappropriateness of the choreography and age difference between the stars.
Reacting to the obscene dance moves, a user on X wrote, “Who approves such choreography? Why do actors agree to do such steps? Extremely CRINGE.”

The third user wrote, “Worst Choreography and already trolling started...If you are a true well wisher of NBK, please remove the song and reshoot.
The makers of Daaku Maharaaj have not reacted to the criticism yet.

Daaku Maharaaj, hitting theaters on January 12 will coincide with the festive occasion of Sankranti. Directed by Bobby Kolli, the movie showcases Balakrishna in a rugged dacoit avatar, as revealed in the gripping first-look video.
