Ramayana X Reactions: Ranbir Kapoor's Film Called Most Breathtaking, Praise Yash As Ravana

Ramayana, one of the most anticipated movies of 2026, has finally arrived in theatres after much anticipation. The movie has also been receiving a good response from the audience and critics and is likely to break several records. Check what the reactions of netizens are after watching Ramayana on the big screens.
Ramayana X Reactions:
There are several action sequences that are praised by the audience, also termed as some of the best scenes. Especially, the fight between Ravana and Jatayu during the Sita haran scene.
#RamayanaReview : WORTHY of Big screen ⭐⭐⭐🌟 (3.5/5) #Ramayana delivers some genuinely powerful cinematic moments, backed by terrific performances and breathtaking scale. However, despite its ambition and a few standout sequences, the film remain short of Epic spectacle. #Yash as Ravana is an absolute powerhouse! His performance is nothing short of BLOCKBUSTER. The sequence where he speaks with his 10 heads is easily one of the finest moments of the film. He sports multiple looks and shines in every single one of them. The Jatayu sequence is heartbreaking and arguably the best part of the film. Sita abduction scene is detailed and explained why she chose to cross Laxman Rekha. The post-credit Hanuman scene brings cheers. #RanbirKapoor delivers some impactful moments, particularly in the second half like his battle with Surpanakha demon Army. The overall scale is MASSIVE, with several moments that truly feel larger than life. Visuals are treat to eyes at some places especially Pushpak Viman and all. However, the film has shortcoming due to which it didnt transformed into what it aspired to be... The music is the biggest disappointment. Particularly during the Vanvas sequence, the emotional connect is missing. The background score fails to elevate several crucial moments that deserved a much stronger impact. The screenplay loses momentum at a few places. 1st half after 45 mins of Yash feels bit weak and hollow in emotions. Swayamvar Sequence, Vanvas sequence didnt quite bring out emotions as expected...2nd half is too contrast to 1st half as if it is directed by someone else... Sharper editing could have made the narrative much tighter. The VFX is also inconsistent at few places, esp with related to Monsters. Sai Pallavi's role feels surprisingly limited. Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta and others didnt had much to do ..Vivek Oberoi have 1 sequence.... VERDICT: Ramayana has the scale, some spectacular sequences and a commanding Yash, but it needed a much stronger emotional and musical backbone to become the epic it aspires to be. However movie has enough to do good at Box office and incite excitement for part 2.

Others praise the scale and ambition of the film, while also criticising the writing and pacing.
#Ramayana REVIEW: The film is a larger-than-life cinematic experience that reminds you why some stories deserve to be told on the biggest screen possible. The scale and ambition are definitely impressive and there are moments where the film genuinely pulls you into its world. Ranbir brings a certain sincerity to Rama, Sai Pallavi is lovely as Sita and Yash has a strong commanding screen presence. The writing and pacing could have been much tighter but still every emotional beat lands as intended. The Jatayu sequence is hands down the biggest high of the film – absolutely phenomenal and paisa vasool just for that one stretch. A film with its flaws, but also some genuinely memorable big-screen moments not to be missed in theatres.

Ramayana has also been praised for its cinematography and music, while being able to generation emotions.
Watching Ramayana, and honestly, the makers have done a fantastic job. It’s a must-watch. Even if you’re not religious, don’t believe in God, or consider the Ramayana mythology, you should watch it for its storyline and how beautifully it’s presented on screen. The cinematography looks grand, the visuals are stunning, the music is beautiful, and the performances are impressive. But I have just one complaint: the storyline was way too predictable.
