The ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ fever continues to sweep audiences even in 2025. The Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rule—Part 2’ has maintained its dominance at the box office well into its fourth week, showcasing exceptional growth in collections. The movie, released on December 5, 2024, has now surpassed the ₹1,700 crore mark globally, according to the filmmakers.

On January 2, 2025, ‘Pushpa 2’ earned ₹0.21 crore by morning, as per Sacnilk’s latest report. This comes after a significant surge on January 1, 2025, when the film recorded a 70.78% increase in daily collections across India. The New Year played a crucial role in driving ticket sales, pushing the movie to new heights even after nearly a month of its release.

Pushpa 2 Week-by-Week Domestic Box Office Collection

The film’s domestic collections, reported by Sacnilk, reflect its unparallelled popularity across multiple languages:

• Week 1: ₹725.8 crore (Telugu: ₹242 crore; Hindi: ₹425.1 crore; Tamil: ₹41 crore; Kannada: ₹5.3 crore; Malayalam: ₹12.4 crore)
• Week 2: ₹264.8 crore (Telugu: ₹53.4 crore; Hindi: ₹196.5 crore; Tamil: ₹11.5 crore; Kannada: ₹1.83 crore; Malayalam: ₹1.57 crore)
• Week 3: ₹129.5 crore (Telugu: ₹22.82 crore; Hindi: ₹103.05 crore; Tamil: ₹3.15 crore; Kannada: ₹0.37 crore; Malayalam: ₹0.11 crore)

The production house officially announced that ‘Pushpa 2’ had accumulated ₹1,760 crore in worldwide collections by Day 26, positioning itself within striking distance of ‘Baahubali 2's record, requiring just ₹28 crore to surpass it.

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in collaboration with Sukumar Writings, ‘Pushpa: The Rule—Part 2’ features an ensemble cast that includes Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil Varma, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh, and Ajay Ghosh.

Despite its massive success, the film’s release was marred by a tragic incident. A 35-year-old woman named Revathi died, and her eight-year-old son was injured during a stampede at the film’s premiere. Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, in connection with the incident and released on interim bail the following day.
