Director Buchi Babu Sana’s much-awaited 1980s-set rural sports drama, ‘Peddi,’ is now playing in theatres. It’s causing a huge stir at the global box office. This movie marks a big comeback for Global Star Ram Charan. He plays an athlete who brings his community together through sports to protect their village pride against some tough competition. Peddi hit theatres with a bang. Thanks to great pre-release buzz and huge ticket sales, it dominated screens from the very first shows. Its first-day box office collections are already strong. It made over ₹20 crore worldwide thanks to advance bookings and amazing opening shows. Most of the money came from the Telugu version.
